Do I need a special tool to remove the old towel bar?

I'm going to redo a room of old and I can not remove the towels years 20. They have small holes in those that are the size of a pen. Sticking point pen LOSEN's no structure. No visible screws. Bert OK, allen wrench more little did! Thank you.

This is a hex head screws (also known as "Allen" screws). What you need is called an Allen wrench or screwdriver. They come in a series at any hardware store and are cheap. Bert
